Why is spine surgery performed?
The spinal cord is a collection of nerves from the base of the brain to down back. Thirty-one sets of nerves leave the spinal cord and go to the chest, abdomen, arms, and legs. These nerves also control the functionality of some important organs in a body which involves heart, lungs, bladder, and bowels.

Full endoscopic spine surgery is a minimally invasive spine surgery in which the surgeon makes an incision of 4 to 6 mm in the flank. Under epidural analgesia or local anesthesia, the surgeon removes the offending disc material using an endoscope, specialized surgical instruments, LASER (holmium-YAG) and 4MhZ radiofrequency system and articulating bone drill. The full endoscopic procedure through transforaminal and interlaminar accesses is slowly replacing the open microscopic surgery.
