Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad, conducted a 2-day workshop on ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia

The 4th Annual Hands-On Workshop on ‘Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthesia’ was successfully concluded by the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, Yashoda Hospitals, Secunderabad. The 2-day workshop was organized to train the participants in using ultrasound for high-yield upper and lower extremity blocks in a safe and effective manner.

The workshop was attended by over 150 delegates from different medical colleges and hospitals from Telangana and other States. The workshop hosted by Yashoda Hospitals comprised didactic lectures, expert-led live demonstrations and hands-on sessions, where the delegates practise scanning techniques on volunteers.

G Ram Mohan, organising secretary and course director, said that the aim of the workshop is to increase awareness amongst practising anaesthesiologists about the role of ultrasound in improving patient outcomes.

Organising Chairman and Chief of Medical Services, Yashoda Hospitals, Vishnu Reddy said that they will familiarise budding anaesthesiologists and practitioners with the use of ultrasound and teach the delegates about the various pain relieving nerve block techniques in a safe and effective manner.
