World First Aid Day 2023

World First Aid Day, observed annually on the second Saturday of September, highlights the vital role of first aid in saving lives and preventing injuries. It raises awareness about the importance of first aid education and encourages preparedness for emergencies, contributing to a safer world.

First Aid Matters: Saving Lives, One Skill at a Time

Emergencies can occur anywhere, at any time. Being prepared and knowing how to provide immediate assistance can make the difference between life and death. As we commemorate World First Aid Day 2023, we invite you to take a step towards becoming a lifesaver.

Let’s Pledge To Be A Lifesaver

With a strong belief in the power of knowledge and preparedness, we are proud to present a Free Session on First Aid to empower you with the skills and confidence needed in critical situations.

Join us as our experts guide you through essential first aid techniques for various situations, including:

Heart Attack

A heart attack is a medical emergency that requires immediate action. Knowing how to recognize its symptoms and provide initial care can be a critical factor in such situations. During our session, you will learn about the critical role you can play in saving the life of a heart attack victim.

Stroke

Time is of the essence when it comes to strokes. Recognising the warning signs and acting quickly can help to avoid severe brain damage and disabilities. Your ability to provide critical assistance can have a long-term impact on the quality of life of a stroke victim.

Accidents/Injuries

Accidents and injuries can happen at any time. Having the skills to respond effectively can help prevent further harm and increase the chances of a full recovery. Learn the fundamental techniques that can have a significant impact on the outcome of such critical situations.

Asthma

Asthma attacks can be terrifying and stressful experiences. Understanding how to manage these attacks swiftly and efficiently can ensure the well-being of the person in distress and provide much-needed relief.

Nosebleed

Nosebleeds may seem minor, but they can be alarming. Learning how to control nosebleeds not only provides immediate relief but also prevents excessive blood loss and anxiety in those affected.

Epilepsy

Epileptic episodes can be unpredictable, and your ability to assist during one can greatly reduce the risk of injury and provide reassurance to the individual experiencing them.

Low BP

Low blood pressure can lead to episodes of fainting, which can result in accidents and injuries. Understanding the challenges of low blood pressure and how to provide immediate support can help prevent these incidents.

Burns

Burns can be excruciatingly painful and require immediate attention. Knowing the proper first aid measures not only minimizes pain but also promotes faster healing and reduces the risk of complications.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

In addition to these critical first aid skills, we will introduce you to Basic Life Support (BLS). BLS is a vital level of medical care for patients facing life-threatening conditions until advanced medical help arrives. It involves recognizing signs of cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, and airway obstructions. You will also learn essential cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques and how to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

Knowledge of BLS and practicing CPR significantly increase the chances of patient survival. For those at the site of a cardiac emergency, having these skills is invaluable.
